L36's were mainly built in South Africa from 1977 to 1990, but a few more recent ones also exist. There were about 50 built. The builders were Golnix, VHV marine, Gericke, Friese, Bop, Robertson Yachts and of course owner built. They are very solid and seaworthy sailing vessels and have cruised the world over.
